Back from the Silence

Hi everyone,

I wanted to start off by saying thank you for still following this blog and I hope you all still enjoy the content. I am sorry for not giving ample warning (or any warning for that matter) that I was going to be taking a hiatus from Aloette and my accounts.

The truth is that I realized something. I wasn’t quite ready to take Aloette to the next level. I had so much to learn about myself and what is important in life.

I have learned to be more sociable for sure but what I truly have learned this past year is who has been there for me. The Aloette sisters are some of the most kind and open ladies I know. If you would be interested in a community you can truly grow with I encourage you to visit the Aloette site to join.

My family, meeting new friends, and making people is happy is what I like best. Aloette is not really going to be a job for me, but a hobby. When I think about it as a job, I stink. When I think about it as a hobby I thrive.

I am currently in the middle of budgeting to launch my Aloette business once again. I am planning on starting this summer.

I am still on Instagram as aloettecraze and I do have my twitter as well with aloettecraze as my twitter handle. Instagram is updated more often than my twitter and has some pictures of different products I am testing and a little extra too.

I hope you are all anticipating my relaunch as much as I am. I have a good feeling about it and I will be sharing more soon. I also have an update: the website link aloette.com/rosemendoza is not valid as of now since I went on my hiatus. I am planning on having a website again soon but just a reminder if you click on any of links to that site it will not show anything. Happy Monday everyone!

Brand Name or Mix It Up?

So this is something I have been thinking about for a bit. Is it really all that important to stick with the same brand name products for your entire skin care regimen? Some people say that you should not mix it up at all because it is more effective using the same product system. Others say that it is a trick by companies for you to buy more of their products.

I am one of those people who like to have the same brand name. When I use Aloette products, I know I am getting premium aloe vera that I can’t get anywhere else and that my skin is hydrated without a super heavy lotion. However, that is only my preference.

Although it is true what I said about the aloe vera, there is no study showing that you have to use the same brand name to get the best results. What you will find is that when you use the same brand is that the results you want (clearing up acne, calming redness, rebalancing pH levels) will be more in line to the timeline they lay out for you.

Mixing up products may delay or hasten the process. But if your goal is just to get positive results for your skin then I believe all skin care products will do that for you. Another question to ask yourself is: do I want it organic or not? There are plenty of articles about blacklist ingredients in cosmetics. Read more about blacklist cosmetic ingredients here.

Experts do caution about using different brand products that contain active ingredients such as retinol, glycolic acid, salicyclic acid, or peptides (Besthealthmag.ca)

How do you feel about using different brand names in your skin care regimen? Let me know in the comments. 🙂

Essential Cleansing Oil – More Than You Think

Perhaps you are like me where you want to take care of your skin, but the thought of going through 3 steps or more sounds like too much.

That is totally okay because Aloette has what you need. Essential Cleansing Oil not only can gently remove your makeup but it can also work as a cleanser and a moisturizer. The product includes aloe vera along with sesame, avocado, olive, and safflower oils to hydrate your skin and fight the signs of aging.

The sesame oil acts as a natural sunscreen because of the vitamin E. The oil helps to calm inflamed sessential cleansing oilkin, repair damaged skin cells, and improves blood circulation (Sesame Oil for Skin)

According to Foodmatters.com, avocado oil helps to rejuvenate your skin and aids in anti-aging.

Avocado oil is rich in Vitamin E; one of the most important vitamins for your skin, and is brilliant for use daily. It is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals which damage the skin. Compared to other fruits, avocado has the highest amount of vitamin E.

Olive oil and safflower give the same benefits as the other two, but safflower adds to promoting elasticity in your skin which in turn reduces the wrinkles.

You can use this product morning and night to clean your skin. Rinse it off to reveal refreshed skin that is ready to face the day.

Taking Care of Your Feet

Feet are often the most overlooked part of skincare. Some thoughts for me have been, No one will see them. I will have to buy expensive foot creams to make my feet look beautiful!

For years I would put on lotion. Heavy creams even and it would look okay for maybe an hour and then my skin on my feet would make me want to put some socks on or hope that no one would look down if I wore sandals.

Last year I found a solution to my problem. I asked my colleague, Melissa, what she suggested. Aloette offers great products for your foot care needs!

1. Restorative Enzyme Peel is a wonderful exfoliate that takes 60-90 seconds to scrub away the dry or flaky skin that is on your feet. This exfoliate is gentle enough to be used every other day if your skin has hard calluses.

2. Using the Peppermint Foot Balm after you use the Enzyme Peel will not only moisturize your skin on your feet, but the peppermint in the lotion will increase the circulation in your feet which is great for restoring the skin to health.

It may take a month or so of repeating this procedure depending on how rough your skin is on your feet. You will see improved skin every time you use these products.
